The Emerald City

A few days ago Amy and I got back from a very fun extended weekend in Seattle. I had some work meetings there and talked her into coming with me and we had such a great time! We went to a Mariners game, wandered around Pikes Market, and just enjoyed time with each other. When Amy saw all the fresh fruit at the market it was like Christmas morning for her. She was so into what fruit she was going to buy that she didn't even realize I was snapping pictures of her! We loved Seattle!

9 Blissful Years!!!

This picture shows one of the many reasons why I love my sweet sports crazed husband so much! Being a huge UCLA Bruins fan, Colb had to wear his jersey over his church clothes until he walked out the door to go to the priesthood session of conference since the Bruins were playing in the final four. He said if the Bruins would have won, he would have worn his jersey to the stake center to watch conference. Too bad they lost- our bishop would have loved that!
9 years and 1 week ago, Colby and I began our incredible married life together. I feel so very blessed to be able to share all of life's experiences with such an amazing man, and to know that he is mine forever! Happy Anniversary Babe! (a week late!) I love you!!!!

Spring Game

It was a very windy, but very fun day on Saturday up at Rice-Eccles for the spring football game. The kids seemed to enjoy the balloons as much as anything and the Utes won so we were all happy!

Yummy Burgers!

So I got home from work a little bit later than usual yesterday, so Amy and the kids had already eaten dinner. But they had saved for me a couple of burgers and homemade fries with fry sauce-left out on the table for me to enjoy.

As I got ready to take a nice big bite out of the juicy burger I could feel the four of them watching me, which was a little strange. Well, as soon as I took a bite and tasted cookie and brownie they all burst out laughing, and the kids all yelled "April Fools!" It was quite the joke-I mean look how real those burgers and fries look!
