Our Sweet Little Kate!

So even though Colby is the blogger of the family, he asked if I wanted to post something about our sweet little daughter, and since I adore her, I'll give it a try! Kate is kind of the center of our family. We all just love her so much and can't get enough of her sweet personality. A couple days ago I even heard Deric and Nat fighting about which of them Kate liked more.

She does have her moments, like when we found her in the bathroom today eating my deodorant and we used to find her in the bathroom all the time swishing one of our toothbrushes in the toilet (what is with little kids and the bathroom?!)

But she is so lovable and cuddly and her newest thing she loves is chasing D and Nat around with her arms out in front of her and she growls at them like "Monster Kate"- it is so dang cute to watch!

We Are Old!

I like to tease Amy that she still thinks she is in her early 20's, but I must admit that sometimes I forget that I am as old as I am. But to make us feel even older, Deric lost one of his front teeth the other day, and I swear it has made him look so much older! I'm not old enough to have a child without one of his front teeth!

D-man was in no hurry to have the tooth pulled out. It sat in there dangling for a good week or so (and I was in no hurry either). But he was very brave when Mom pulled it out and now he says he is even used to having a huge hole where his tooth once was.

After the first couple of posts, which were just about the travels Amy and I have had the past few months, I started thinking that maybe I should blog about our 3 great kids and put a few pictures of them up as well. (They are the ones that people really care about seeing, right!)

Trip to the Zoo

Even though Amy isn't exactly the biggest fan of the zoo, the rest of the family managed to talk her into us all visiting the animals when Deric was off-track a couple of months ago. We all had a great time!

Trip Central

So let's back up just a bit and talk about the trips that Amy and I have been on the past few months. First of all, back in August, we spent 6 days on the East Coast hanging out in Boston and New York City. We both just love those two cities and had a great time. It was our second time in Boston together and fifth time in the Big Apple. We always say we need to branch out and go to other places, but then we just end up right back on the Subway heading to Yankee Stadium!

Our next trip was over Thanksgiving to Chicago. I had to go there for work and was able to bring Amy along. She had never been, and even though it was very, very cold we still had a great time. Then, I had to go to Jacksonville Florida at the end of December for five days (again for work-the Gator Bowl) and was again able to bring Amy along. The weather was perfect and we had a blast together!

Next, we leave for a cruise in a couple of days to Cozumel. We have never been on a cruise and are very excited to see how we like it. It has been so much fun to travel around together, I'm kind of sad we don't have anything planned after the cruise. But I'm sure I will think of something soon enough!
